2015 Corvette Stingray – Performance and Features

2015 Corvette Stingray is one of the most anticipated cars that is expected to hit the market by the end of 2014. According to Chevrolet team, the car manufacturer, the car is likely to come in two design packages which are; the Pacific Couple and Atlantic convertible.

Even though the car manufacturer didn’t quote the exact amount for which they would sell the car, some rumors claim that Atlantic convertible would go for $56,995 while Pacific couple is rumored to go at $51,995.

The Engine and Performance

In accordance to Tadge Juechter, corvette’s chief engineer, the car will come with a more efficient and effective torque and clutch converter that would have the capability to generate 455 horsepower besides accommodating 6.2 liters of fuel. It will also be designed with the ability to connect to an 18/28 mpg, 6 speed automatic transmissions. Due to these unique features, the car is expected to consume fuel at more economical rates as compared to 2014 corvette stingray. It would as well come with shift paddles, semi-automatic transmissions, rivals dual-clutch and transmission control systems in its gearbox to enhance the car’s performance. Some rumors also claim that the car will be fitted with an electric battery that would be very efficient and effective.

As per its performance, the car would come with more unique and effective features such as aerodynamic trims, new paint colors, custom luggage and special alloy wheels. It would as well come with two design packages; the Atlantic convertible design that will feature high standards of comfort and luxury and the Pacific Couple design that would come with carbon fiber rear spoiler, roof panel, competition specifications and red brake calipers. The car would be coated with beautiful and high-resistance materials and finishes to guarantee durability and beauty.

Due to the eight-speed automatic transmission capability, the car would be able to consume fuel at a rate of 5% low as compared in the previous model. The ceramic brakes in the car would work to help improve its stopping power while the magnetic ride control suspension and limited slip differential would work to improve the riding experience.

Some details about design

In its interior, the car is expected to feature three types of aero packages to work in cooling and heating the air within the car to make it more bearable. It would as well come with a downforce feature in its front and rear seats. Besides all these, the car would come with carbon-fiber elements in its exterior that would be rigid enough to endure various environmental conditions.
