2015 Ford Super Duty is the line of F Series Ford Trucks. It goes from F 250 to F 550, and later F 650 and F 750 were intorduced. Trucks that range from F 250 to F 550 are produced in Louievillle, Kentucky and F 650 and F 750 are produced in Blue Diamond truck plant down in Mexico. These trucks are upgraded F Series trucks meant to be used in the industry and agriculture.
They have heavy duty steel latter frames, engines that are more powerful then the ones in regular F Series trucks and much bigger towing capacities then their lighter F Series counterparts. Not long time ago Ford Super Duty were part of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation because of the steering wheel problems, although they found no mistakes in the trucks and decided the accidents were made by drivers. Super Duty Ford trucks were made to compete with GMC Sierra, Chevy Silverado and Ram heavy duty pick up trucks.
Styling – Inside and Outside look
Depending on the truck you choose (from F 250 to 750) there are vast number of exterior features. F 450 for example is offered only in one body style while the rest of the Ford’s Super Duty trucks have more available body styles depending on the purpose the truck is going to be used. You can choose from 2 to 4 door crew cabs, double crew cabs, regular cabs, you name it…
Interior features of these trucks in 2014 model year are somehow basic. Ford didn’t really get it that the new pick up truck buyers are not only the people who use this trucks for work, but also the people who use them for cruising, long distance drives, nature excursions etc. That’s why these trucks need to be fully equipped from the inside and comfortable as they can be. We hope something is going to change in 2015 model year, because GM models of the same size offer various upscale interior features. So it’s not only about bed sizes and towing capacity anymore, interior comfort is as important as these two in modern day pick up trucks.
The Engine range
There is going to be a big change in the Ford Super Duty performance for the 2015 model year. Horsepower and torque levels of 2015 Ford Super Duty lines are going to be drastically increased, although the engine stays the same, good old 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8. New models are going to deliver 440 horsepower and 860 pound feet of torque. Tow capacity will also go up, for example 2015 Ford F 450 Super Duty will be able to tow 31,200 pounds.
