Elantra is a compact sedan, but still positioned above Accent in Hyundai’s lineup thanks to better characteristics. 2015 Hyundai Elantra is already available and has been carried over from the last year. Elantra is offered three ways, as a 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe and a 5-door GT hatchback.
2015 Hyundai Elantra Engine and Performance
Latter two are offered in single customizable grade, while sedan comes in three trim levels: SE, Sport and Limited. Entry and top Limited models of sedan come with a base engine which is 1.8L I4 developing 145 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. Rest of the lineup is fitted with 2.0L I4 engine which puts up 173 hp and 154 lb-ft of torque, while all models have 6-speed manual or optional 6-speed automatic transmission.
Styling – Inside and Outside look
From the outside, differences are instantly visible, especially on the GT hatchback model which came out last and is the most unique of the three. Sedan and coupe models share the same headlights and similar smiling lower air intake, while having different foglights and profile. Out back, they share the same flowing tail-lights, but have different bumper. GT model shares sedan’s headlights and foglights, but has completely different huge trapezoid grille, and out back, has nothing in common with any of its siblings.
Inside, all models are refined beyond their class. They all have optional leather seat upholsteries and chrome accents in dash and door panels. They also have the same dashboard layout, but GT has more sharply designed instrument panel which holds standard 4.3-inch or optional 7-inch touch screen display, just like in sedan and coupe versions. Power tilt-and-slide sunroof, Bluetooth hands-free phone system and 360-watt premium audio system can also be had either as standard pieces of equipment or as optional ones. Standard safety features come with an airbag system, ABS and brake assist, stability and traction controls, hill-start assist and a rearview camera which comes in handy since rear visibility isn’t exactly best-in-class. Base 1.8L engine returns fuel economy ratings of 27/37 mpg, while 2.0L engine has the numbers of 24/34 mpg. All this goes for manual gearbox, while automatic shifter upgrade raises the numbers by one point overall.
2015 Hyundai Elantra Price range
Elantra’s prices start at $17,000 which you’ll have to pay for entry model. Limited model costs $22,000, and has automatic shifter which costs $1,000 built in. GT starts from $19,000, while coupe costs around $20,000, but also comes with automatic gearbox. 2015 Hyundai Elantra is a classy vehicle for the price you’ll have to pay. The fact that it comes in three body types makes it even more appealing, and abundance of available features doesn’t change that at all. http://youtu.be/wVngTM_cx0I
