2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is a new model of popular Hyundai’s crossover vehicle. Santa Fe was introduced in 2000, same year as Ford Escape and Pontiac Aztek. Back then this was the first SUV made by Hyundai and it came as a milestone for the whole Hyundai production program.
This vehicle was scrutinized by the most important car reviewers, who didn’t like its strange looks, but when it came to United States it became one of the most popular SUVs on the market.
It became the most popular Hyundai vehicle on the American market and when it hit the second generation in 2008 it finally got car reviewers acclaim, since it earned mostly positive reviews. Third generation Santa Fe arrived in 2012 and it came in two versions, as a regular or the longer version with extended wheel base that replaced Hyundai Veracruz. In 2014 model year Hyundai also introduced smaller five seater Sport version of this car.
Design – Interior and Exterior
Not longtime ago most of the online reviewers dissed this model for its obscure design. Now its having mostly positive reviews and it is mostly because of the big facelift that came with its generation shift in 2008. Santa Fe comes with vast number of exterior features, like HID headlights and LED taiilights, chrome-tipped dual exhaust, chrome handles, heated side mirrors with timer installed, solar glass windshield and side windows, 2 speed wipers etc.
2015 Hyundai Santa Fe will keep most of its nice interior features from last model year. It will come with ventilated front seats as an additional option, same goes for the rear window sunshades, panoramic sunroof and much more. Cabin came with a small size increase, in 1,9 inches in the third row and 5,5 cubic feet in the cargo area. From hi tech in base version you will see Blue Link telematics system, installed navigation system on the central console and TGS surround sound. Cloth upholstery comes with base version, with double stitching and accents. New model also comes with nice door trim and premium carpeting.
Under the Hood
New model comes with the same engine as last year and it is the 3,3 litre V6 that we can also see in Hyundai Azera. This engine can deliver 290 horsepower and 255 pound feet of torque. It comes with six speed automatic transmission and nice fuel economy figures, with 19 mpg in the city conditions and 25 on the highway. Santa Fe is really compatible in the performance section since its V6 engine can easily over-power engines seen in Nissan Pathfinder and Honda Pilot.
2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Price details
Price for the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe are still unknown. We expect similar prices as for the last year’s model, so it definitely not going to be more expensive than $30,000. Santa Fe is not the least expensive crossover you can buy, but it is very compatible, since the package Hyundai offers with this model, looks like its worth much more.
